Fisherman’s Brew is an American Amber Lager, brewed by the docks of America’s oldest seaport, Gloucester, Massachusetts, from the finest 2-row barley imported from Munich, Belgium and England. Our winter seasonal, the Fisherman’s Navigator is a German-style doppel-bock of exceptional quality, flavors and body. With a toasty biscuit-like malt backbone, it’s unlike any beer you’ve had while managing to remain strictly within a centuries old style.
Taking a cue from a home brew recipe from Mr. Jumpers Home Brew club, we gave it our own spin and came up with the Sunrise Saison. Our first foray into Belgian styles of beer, saisons were pale ales originally brewed in the farmhouses of Wallonia, the French speaking region of Belgium. Giving it our own twist, we’ve added 150 lbs of rhubarb and 250 lbs of whole strawberries. The result is a light pink hue and flavors that wonderfully compliment the natural tartness of a traditional saison.
Fisherman’s Pumpkin Stout is a dark stout accentuated by flavors of the Autumn season. Using real pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice, the Cape Ann Brewing Company took a fresh take at the common fall seasonal. This rich dark stout offers an inviting pumpkin spice aroma that gives way to the delicate essence of real pumpkin.
Smokey and smooth, The Tea Party is a barley wine made with 3 different styles of tea that were amongst the types dumped during the Boston Tea Party. Imparting a smokiness up front, the tea also gives the Tea Party a smooth and complex flavor.
The mother of all hoppy beers, the Double-IPA is loved by many and feared by more. Going against our mission to make balanced beers, a healthy portion of Cascade and Citra hops were used to create a smoothly bitter double IPA with big and lingering floral aromas.
Fisherman’s Spruce Tip Bière de Garde or ‘Beer for Keeping’ is a homage to centuries of brewing in the north of France. Brewed with fresh spruce tips and a dash of orange peel this beer has a fruity nose and flavor with a mild citrusy finish. A very low hop aroma and bitterness allows the spruce tips to shine through making this a great beer for those warm summer evenings.
Fisherman’s Golden Ale has a dark golden color with hints of citrus and licorice. With a touch of sweetness up front and a noble hop bite at the end. This ale has a clean, smooth finish with plenty of drinkability. Be careful you just might want another.
