Our winter seasonal, the Fisherman’s Navigator is a German-style doppel-bock of exceptional quality, flavors and body. With a toasty biscuit-like malt backbone, it’s unlike any beer you’ve had while managing to remain strictly within a centuries old style.
Taking a cue from a home brew recipe from Mr. Jumpers Home Brew club, we gave it our own spin and came up with the Sunrise Saison. Our first foray into Belgian styles of beer, saisons were pale ales originally brewed in the farmhouses of Wallonia, the French speaking region of Belgium. Giving it our own twist, we’ve added 150 lbs of rhubarb and 250 lbs of whole strawberries. The result is a light pink hue and flavors that wonderfully compliment the natural tartness of a traditional saison.
Fisherman’s Pumpkin Stout is a dark stout accentuated by flavors of the Autumn season. Using real pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice, the Cape Ann Brewing Company took a fresh take at the common fall seasonal. This rich dark stout offers an inviting pumpkin spice aroma that gives way to the delicate essence of real pumpkin.
The Big Brother version of our original fall seasonal. The Imperial is more robust and intense in flavor with a noticeably spirituous finish.
A minor tweek of our Sunrise Saison, we took the same basic recipe and used a Belgian Trappist yeast to ferment the beer rather than the farmhouse yeast. We still add 90 lbs of rhubarb and 250 lbs of whole strawberries that results in a light pink hue and the additional tartness of rhubarb.
